Accreditation & Program Statement

“The EMS Program at CAMP Community College is fully accredited by the Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services (VAOEMS), ensuring all state regulatory requirements for EMS education are met. CAMP Community College is the first EMS program in the Commonwealth of Virginia to receive a Letter of Review (LOR) for both the AEMT and Paramedic programs, approved by the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP). The program has been approved to offer both AEMT and Paramedic programs by recommendation of CoAEMSP to the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).”

Minimum Program Expectation: To prepare EMT, AEMT, and Paramedics who are competent in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains to enter the profession.
